It is a common sight to see husbands and wives differing over various issues and this is quite common among the celebrity couples. However, here is one couple which seems to strike a balance between both and tend to stick around. We are talking about the duo of Mahesh Babu and Namratha Mahesh.

Now, it is heard that Namratha is quite excited with a decision of Mahesh. This is the Prince's thought to make a debut in Bollywood. This is for a film to be directed by Kuku Gulati and sources say Mahesh has shown interest as it is going to be a thriller. If all goes well, the film will hit the floors in the next year.

Now, it is heard that Namratha is happy with this since this would mean she can go to her 'Puttillu' Mumbai and stay there. If luck permits, then Mahesh might score a hit and he could bag two or more projects in Hindi itself which according to Namratha is a good thing for her. Whether it is Namratha's thoughts or not, Mahesh's Bollywood decision is surely worrying his fans in Andhra Pradesh.

Story:
Tony (NTR) is a typical character who changes moods and colors as per the situation. He meets Niharika (Tamanna) in an awkward situation which leads to love. He falls in love with her and chases her day and night. He gets to know that she is already in love with someone, but chases her down till she falls in love with him. At this point the other side of him is revealed which gives us the answers for the unanswered. Actually he is on a mission to kill an entire mafia empire. Why does he do that? For whom does he work for? Watch the movie for answers.

Analysis:
Oosaravelli starts off on a high note with excellent intro scene of hero. The hero character is introduced in such a way that audience expects him to play mind games and wise tricks all the time. But the film turns out to be a love story after that hyped introduction. This part is dealt in an entertaining with NTR, Raghubabu, MS Narayana and Jayaprakash Reddy doing the honors of filling in fun moments. The real story will only start before interval and the interval scene has really come out well. The graph picks up suddenly and sets high expectations on the second half.

Second half will reveal about the hero’s mission and why he has been under disguise. This part mostly deals with the heroine and it may not be liked by hardcore NTR fans. He goes missing for more than ten minutes and the film considerably slows down. Movie takes a serious turn and comedy takes the backseat. Director tried to force comedy in bits and pieces in the second hour but it didn’t gel well.

Script wise, Oosaravelli is good barring few plot holes. But where it fails is with balancing NTR’s mass image with the hero’s characterization. Director had to sacrifice mind games and intelligent play for the sake of satisfying NTR fans, which didn’t help the film much. On a whole Oosaravelli can be watched once for its entertaining first half, interesting plot and performances of the lead star cast.

Commercially it may suffer because of going against NTR image. NTR city based fans and youth may be satisfied to see him in a new avatar, but his core audience from the B and C centers will have too many complaints with the film.

Performances:
It is good to see NTR switching genres. He did a completely different role in this movie which is more of a lover boy and less of an action hero. He also tried comedy and underplayed the emotions. It is refreshing to see him in this movie. He has to keep a check on the weight as he is gaining few kilos. His dances in Dandia India are good.

Tamanna got a very good role and she excelled in it. Generally heroines don’t get much scope in star heroes films. But this film is an exception and Tamanna lapped it up. She is gorgeous in few scenes.

Prakash Raj is routine. Jayaprakash and Raghubabu are funny. MS Narayana shared few laughs. Kick Shyam is brief and Rehaman is Okay. Sayaji Shinde’s role is half baked. Harika (Payal Ghosh) gives a neat performance.

Technicalities:
Koratala Siva dialogues worked in places. On a whole lacked the necessary punch. Devi Sri Prasad’s background score is fabulous. Two songs are very good. Rasool camera is one of the highlights of the movie. Action part is dealt well. There are few action scenes but are shot in an exciting fashion. Production values are rich.

Surender Reddy did well as a director to handle the script well. However, he is off balance at times as he is ‘confused’ to stick with the content or to go with NTR’s mass image. He should have opted for a small hero instead of choosing a star for this script, which would have done wonders for him.
Finally: Movie is Good, But Don’t expect a brand NTR film!

Junior NTR has been desperately trying to hype his Oosaravelli film to the maximum. But it looks like audiences are not that interested in watching this film. NTR expected this film to get response as good as Dookudu. Sadly, that is not happening despite huge release and pre release hungama.

Oosaravelli advance bookings are not up to the expected level. When compared to Dookudu, this film is not even getting half the attention of audience. Unlike Dookudu, this film is releasing on a festival day. Therefore, the bookings should be even more aggressive, say tradesmiths.
Somehow Oosaravelli is failing to live up to the mark. Interestingly, NTR's previous film Brindavanam too didn't get a great opening. May be the title and look of the film aren't exciting the masses. NTR's Shakti opened big and that shows that Oosaravelli is not attracting the mass audience

First half of the movie is entertaining with breezy comedy and lovable romantic track coupled with neatly choreographed songs. Second half is a bit heavy and light on entertainment it seems. However, the twists and suspense element keeps the film alive all the way, as per the reports. Only complaint is that the film doesn't have so called mass elements as the action part is minimal.
On a whole Oosaravelli is a different film from NTR. He gave one of his finest performances, they say. Good first half and an average second half means it may end up with above average talk. We have to wait for the regular shows talk and seasoned critics take on this movie before coming to a conclusion. As of now, Oosaravelli has better content than Dookudu. But it might fall short of Dookudu in terms of entertainment. Let us see if NTR Jr. could break Dookudu first week records with this variety action thriller or not?

Still, the gossips surrounding the business figures of the film are giving some sleepless nights to him. Superstar Mahesh Babu is presently rocking at the tinsel with his DOOKUDU. Although it is raining 'cash' showers for producers, critics and other film folks are unable to accept that it is a big hit. Among all such allegations, what has hurt Mahesh to the most is the 'Hindi remake' news. According to grapevine, there were reports in the first week of release that Bollywood's shirt-less hero Salman Khan is to remake DOOKUDU. However, there was a news afterwards that he is not remaking as this Telugu movie is just a hyped one.
A close friend of Mahesh stated that the Superstar is very angry upon hearing all these tidbits. 'Salman started his second innings with a hit-track only after remaking my POKIRI', is the comment of Mahesh. 'Though he makes it or not, who cares! The movie did complete justice to fans and producers' is the take of Mahesh on all these 'Hindi' extras.

Many speculations are being made about 150th film of Chiranjeevi. Sometime ago, RGV made Chiru announce on stage about his 150th film in the direction of Puri Jagannath. Even Chiru requested for a special role by Amitabh Bachchan who agreed to do if Puri will be the director. But now sources say that Chiranjeevi is showing interest to act in SS Rajamouli's direction.


Recently he went to Eega shooting spot and spent some time there although he is no way connected to that film. Inside sources later revealed that Chiranjeevi offered Rs 50 Crore package to SS Rajamouli (Chiru's remuneration not included in that) to direct him with a beautiful script. He also promised him a share in profits as well. Many don’t know that Allu Aravind shouted on SS Rajamouli for shooting up the budget of 'Magadheeera' before its release. Indeed, the same Allu Aravind laurelled Rajamouli for giving such great historical film in the matter of collections, later.
Now it is interesting to know that Chiru offered Rs 50 Cr package to Rajamouli.
