Hansika bags another big Tamil film

Hansika is on a roll these days, quite literally. Her recent Telugu film, Kandireega was a hit and she’ll soon be seen in O My Friend, opposite Siddharth. However, she’s turning out to be a hot property in Tamil. Earlier this year, she was seen in Prabhu Deva’s Engeyum Kadhal and now, she’s awaiting her next big film, Vijay’s Velayudham, opposite Vijay and Genelia. After this, her next big Tamil film is OKOK which has Udhayanidhi Stalin in lead role.
The latest buzz is that she has bagged a big Tamil film, Vettai Mannan opposite Simbu. The film will be directed by Nelson and has Simbu, Jai and Hansika in lead roles. Deeksha Seth is also said to be part of this film. Ever since Simbu acted in Gautham Menon’s Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, he has become a bigger star and currently he’s acting in Osthi, the Tamil remake of Dabangg. All eyes are on Vettai Manan which promises to be a high adrenaline action thriller. The film is also expected to release in Telugu in 2012.

Nikitha to compete with Anushka

Lady luck seems to be shining for Nikitha these days. The latest buzz is that Nikitha has bagged an important role in one of Karthi’s upcoming films which also stars Anushka. Nikitha will be seen as a village girl who is in love with Karthi. Suraaj is going to direct this film and Gnanavel Raja is going to produce it on Studio Green banner. Currently, Karthi is acting in Shankar Dayal’s Shakuni which is expected to hit the screens later this year.
For Nikitha, it’ll be an important film since after moving to Kannada film industry she has hardly a big film in Telugu or Tamil. Recently, she made headlines all over the country after she became the centre of attraction in a controversy in Kannada Film Industry. 
Initially, she was banned by the Kannada film Producers’ council after a prominent actor, Darshan’s wife filed an FIR against her husband for physically assaulting her and mentioned that Nikitha was the reason why her marital life is in trouble. However, five days later, the ban was revoked after a lot of lobbying on behalf of Nikitha.

People who went to watch the film after looking at those hot pictures were terribly disappointed. It looks like this is a deliberate ploy by the producers to earn few quick bucks. They used Sneha Ullal's photo shoot pictures to draw the attention of Masala lovers. Sneha Ullal too agreed to be a part of this cheating game and people who were disappointed are demanding their money back.
 But why the producers of Madatha Kaja played a foul game is a bit tricky. Because Sneha Ullal is not new to skin show or say it spicy show. She did a raunchy beach song in Nenu Meeku Telusa movie in which she was seen drenched from top to toe. Madatha Kaja makers should have insisted upon Sneha's spicy act rather putting up a drama! 

Oosaravelli Hyderabad theaters list

Young Tiger Jr NTR’s Oosaravelli has completed all formalities and is gearing up for release on October 6. The film was awarded U/A certificate by the censor board. This film’s distribution rights were bought by RR movie makers and they are planning for a big release on coming Thursday.

The first set of theatres released by Nizam distributor consists of main screens in Hyderabad. This number will certainly go up as the release date approaches. Producer BVVSN Prasad is super confident about his upcoming release Oosaravelli.

Keeping that aside, if a film like ‘Dookudu’ which got an average talk can break the records of ‘Magadheera’ then what will happen if Mahesh Babu gets a film like ‘Magadheera’. This thought is giving sleepless nights to Ramcharan, as per sources.

Dookudu unbelievable 7-days gross @ 50.07 Cr

As expected, Mahesh Babu's Dookudu has romped home the biggest BO gross and share in its first week.  Pegged at Rs. 50.07 cr. of gross (Rs. 35.01 is the share), the film's all-time huge record has become a non-pareil in the history of Telugu cinema.  More over, very few South Indian films, other than those starring Rajinikanth, have managed to net this huge total in the first few days of their release.
A press release from the makers stated that the film has been setting new records in all the States where it was released on September 23.  While the film has grossed the highest in hot Telugu cinema markets in Andhra Pradesh, bulldozing its way through the records earlier set by Magadheera, it has had a windfall of collections in the US market, and in the Indian States like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and others.

Usually, second heroines are unsuccessful in winning the hearts of heroes. They have one or two special spicy songs with the hero and when the main heroine is not there, they give company to hero and leave. But this is not the case with Deeksha Seth. While working for ‘Mirapakaya’ as the second heroine, by the time shooting got completed, Deeksha stole the heart of Ravi Teja fully. As a result, Ravi Teja made it a point to have Deeksha as his heroine for the new film ‘Nippu’ being directed by Gunasekhar and produced by Y V S Chowdary.

It is known news that Ravi Teja gives chances only to those heroines who cooperate with him in ‘all’ ways. But unit members of ‘Nippu’ reveal that in Deeksha’s case, Ravi Teja is showing extra interest and is ‘enjoying’ the company of Deeksha completely.  They are calling it ‘Ravi Teja Srungara Deeksha’.

Now, another topic is making rounds about her. The cine folks say “Atlast, Parvathy’s ‘Tapassu’ became successful. Poor girl…she was promised the lead role in ‘Khaleja’ opposite Mahesh Babu. That’s when director Trivikram told her to cut down on her weight and look slim. Parvathy did that sincerely but she got cut from the movie. Of course, she immediately left India to come out of that upsetting experience.” 


They added “But her desire to romance Mahesh Babu got fulfilled and in a better way. She has been maintaining the same slim figure that she developed for ‘Khaleja’ and showed her curves in ‘Dookudu’. Also, she got to pair with Mahesh. Imagine what would have happened if she was the heroine in ‘Khaleja’. The film became a dud and her career would have been in doldrums. But now, Parvathy has bounced back with a bang and her ‘Tapassu’ really paid off.”
