A senior cine analyst who is part of the industry since many years stated “Both Chiru and Pawan are artistes who love to project values. At one point, Chiru did films like ‘Rudraveena’ ‘Apadbandhavudu’. Similarly, Pawan came with a different concept when he did ‘Johnny’.”
He added “Even Chiru said in many instances that his favourite movies are ‘Swayamkrushi’ and ‘Pranam Khareedu’. Even Pawan loves to do good projects. When he announced common man protection force, he also thought to make a film with title ‘Satyagrahi’, comprising revolutionary ideas to build the nation but everything got shelved.”
He revealed “All this happened just because audience shunned this image of Chiru-Pawan and the strong impression that fans will not like it. So, when both wanted to do good, society didn’t accept just like how Kamal Haasan and Suriya were accepted. With no other choice they got into formula commercial entertainers. Before we blame our heroes for not being on par with Tamil heroes, we should also look at our reactions when they tried to do something good.”
