Among Indian films,the movie’s US Box Office collections are among the all time Top 5 . So here is a movie from our very own Telugu Cinema Industry, whose box office stamina is almost on par with the Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman. So what made Dookudu tick?
Cine Pandits have many explanations. But the best answer to this question probably came from Mahesh Babu himself. The script, was the Prince’s answer. The script is the reason behind this success. During the success meet Mahesh Babu termed it a “universal script.” Mahesh Babu is one of the few heroes who focuses on script as opposed to mere heroic treatment of a character.
In one of the pre-release interviews he gave, he said that the team worked through about three variations of the script and screenplay. Looks like that attention to detail has paid off.
He was extremely happy about the success of Dookudu. “I told everyone during the audio function that this will be the biggest hit of my career. My expectations came true. The Producers did a fabulous job with the movie and the publicity work was handled very well. I will do a movie with them in future again. I am now extremely busy with the shooting of ‘The Businessman’. I would also like to thank my director Sreenu Vytla for doing a great job”, said Mahesh Babu.
Mahesh is also upbeat about Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu where he plays a brother to Venkatesh. Looks like a bumper year ahead for the Prince.
