After the back –to-back successes of films like Run Raja Run, Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju, Express Raja and Shatamanam Bhavati, actor Sharwanand has another interesting project coming up, Radha. Presented by B.V.S.N. Prasad under the Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra banner and directed by debutant Chandra Mohan, the film is going to be a complete entertainer and is produced by Bhogavalli Bapineedu. While the film is set to release on May 12, the film had a grand pre-release event in Vijayawada on May 6.

Sharwanand, Lavanya Tripathi, Dil Raju, Dr. Ramesh, Dr. Ram Mohan Rao, Vijayawada MP Kesineni Nani, Tanuku MLA Radha Krishna, Kranthi Madhav, Merlapaka Gandhi, Alankar Prasad and Sudarshan were the guests in attendance amongst several others.

The theatrical trailer was released by Kesineni Nani.

Speaking at the event, Kranthi Madhav said, “Sharwanand has been on a hit streak and I hope this film will just add on to that list. I hope this is going to be another new beginning for him. I give my best wishes to debut director Chandra Mohan, B.V.S.N. Prasad and Bapineedu.”

Merlapaka Gandhi shared, “The thing about Sharwanand is that any character he takes up, he does it with an air of genuinity. He can entertain the audience. And I wish Radha become a huge success. Sharwanand anna told me about how well Chandra Mohan has directed the film. I thank the director and producer for inviting me here.”

The film’s music director Radhan said, “I am very happy that I got to work with Sharwanand. Likewise with Lavnaya, Chandra Mohan, B.V.S.N. Prasad and Baapineedu and I want to thank all of them. This movie’s name is my mother’s name and that’s why I really like this film.”

Chandra Mohan, who is making his debut with Radha, shares, “This film explores the concept of what it would be like if Krishna was a police officer. Back then Krishna wielded his chakra, and this Krishna wields his lathi. To my family, to my guru Karunakaran, a huge thanks. To the producers B.V.S.N. Prasad and Baapineedu garu, a huge thanks for the support from the beginning. I am sure this film will entertain everyone.”

Tanuku MLA Radha Krishna shares, “The film has got a good title and it will surely be a hit. Chatrapati with Prabhas and Rajamouli, Attarintiki Daaredi with Pawan Kalyan were great hits from BVSN Prasad. And now, Radha is set to come to the screens. I wish this film will be a success.”

Dil Raju shares, “Radhan has scored great tunes. He had earlier given music for Yevade Subramanyam. And now he repeated that magic for Radha. Bapineedu, BVSN Prasad’s son, has taken on the wings of production full-fledgedly. Lavanya Tripathi looks very glamourous. I remember 12 years ago when Sharwanand had come to my office with his photos, I had taken his to Teja’s office. Despite no film background, from the last three years, he has been scoring back-to-back hits like Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju, Express Raja and Shatamana Bhavati amongst others. I think this film will mark his second hat-trick.”

Talking on the occasion, Kesineni Nani shares, “Vijaywada is like the birth place of Telugu cinema. Be it NTR or ANR, everyone has gone from here to rule the industry. Telugu cinema has reached the international level now. Without any kind of background, Sharwanad has been scoring several hits for over a decade now. And that is a proof of his hardwork and I want to congratulate him on all that he has achieved. All the best to the entire unit.”

BVSN Prasad shares, “Radha is set to release on May 12. As my son Bapineedu makes a full-fledged attempt at production, I hope the audience respond well. It was SS Rajamouli’s idea to make my son as a producer and finally, he has become one.”

Lavanya Tripathi said, “Radha has given me the chance to play a different role. Chandra Mohan directed the film very carefully. Sharwanand is one of the sweetest co-stars. I hope to work with him a lot more number of times. I want to thank the director and producers for choosing me to be a part of the film.”

Sharwanand said: “I was born in Vijayawada. Like Nani garu said, my grandfather Bommineni Subbarao garu started Siddhartha Educational Academy. And it’s a matter of pride that I am talking here today in the same college. Radha is a film which is a tribute to the police. Along with being entertaining, this commercial film has got a message within. This is a film which can be enjoyed with your whole family as it is a laugh riot for most part. Back in the time, Krishna was born to punish evil and save mankind. And in this movie, my character Krishna is born for a similar purpose. We all know how significant the police are in our day to day life as they make sure to solve every small issue. Without them, it would be tough for us to exist. That’s the point which made me want to be a part of this film. Prasad garu is a very cool producer and Baapineedu travelled with me right from the beginning and is presenting a very good film. Karthik’s cinematography is the backbone for our film. I think director Chandra Mohan will soon enter the big league of directors and has not just written a good story but has made the film entertainingly too. Thanks to everyone! I know as Radha releases on May 12, it will leave everyone in a happy states.”
